Tourism
plays an inherent, vital role in Moore County's economy, and we
currently welcome 1.1 million visitors each year. The Convention & Visitors
Bureau is Moore County's economic development agency responsible
for travel and tourism promotion, product development, and visitor
services. As the liaison between potential visitors and the local
travel industry, the CVB is the information clearinghouse, convention/visitor
management consultant, promotional agency, and catalyst for economic,
product and social development and information renewal. This mission
is effectively accomplished through bringing together the interests
of government, trade and civic organizations, and individual travel
assets and suppliers (hotels, motels, golf courses, restaurants,
retailers, tour agencies, attractions, ground transportation operators)
in order to effectively market and brand Moore County, and increase
visitation to the area.
