Arts Council of Moore County at Campbell House
The Arts Council Galleries feature changing monthly exhibits, located in historic Campbell House. For over 100 years, Campbell House has been a beacon of culture, enhancing civic life. The main block of the building was part of the original Boyd mansion, located 100 feet in front of present-day Weymouth Center. In the early 1920s, a section was moved across the street to its present location. In 1946, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Campbell purchased the property and gifted it to the town in 1966. Founded in 1973, the Arts Council's mission is to inspire and strengthen our community through the arts. Activities include annual programs for 15,000+ students, exhibits for 550+ artists, concerts by world-class musicians, and support for artists and arts groups through grants, ticket sales, and promotions. As a destination, the Arts Council supports our economy with artists and visitors staying in local hotels, shopping and eating in restaurants, enjoying our nightlife and craft breweries, and coming to know our community. The organization is a cornerstone of the cultural activities we enjoy – the things that make this such a wonderful place to live. Open 10:00 am - 5:00 pm weekdays and 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Admission is FREE Address: 482 East Connecticut Avenue, Southern Pines, NC, 28387 Phone: (910) 692-2787 Website: www.MooreArt.org
