Designed by the U.S. Open Doctor, Rees Jones, Talamore Golf Club is known as one of the most fun and playable course in the Sandhills area.  The sister course of Mid South Club, Talamore never disappoints. “Scotland and the North Carolina Sandhills Collide” with the addition of 12 strategically placed, old-world style sod wall bunkers. Situated amidst the rolling hills and towering pine trees of the Sandhills region, this resort offers two championship golf courses designed to challenge and inspire players of all skill levels.

The centerpiece of Talamore Golf Resort is its renowned Jones-designed golf course, which has garnered acclaim for its strategic layout and pristine conditions. With its sculpted fairways, strategic bunkering, and challenging greens, the course offers a true test of golfing skill while showcasing the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Players are treated to breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility as they navigate through the course’s rolling terrain and scenic vistas.

During a recent remastering project, greens were restored to the original Jones designs, resulting in a 25 percent larger putting surface, and the addition of generous 60-inch Tif Grand green collars. The new Champion Bermuda putting surfaces provide significantly better playing conditions than its bent grass predecessor and put Talamore’s greens on par with the other top courses in the area that previously made the switch to Bermuda greens – Pinehurst No. 2, No. 8, Country Club of North Carolina, Pine Needles, Mid Pines and Tobacco Road.
