Golfer’s Gift Guide
Golfers Gift Guide
The holidays always arrive with one big question — what do you get the golfer who already has a garage full of gear? Fortunately, the Sandhills remain a gift-giver’s paradise, overflowing with art, apparel, keepsakes and course-inspired treasures that celebrate the spirit of Pinehurst.
Among some interesting, unique and fun golf-and-Sandhills-themed swag and gift ideas to consider this year are the following:

Personalized Pro V1s from Titleist
A dozen golf balls remains the most reliable gift in the game — and Pinehurst visitors can take it up a notch. Through the first-of-its-kind Titleist Shop at the Padgett Center, golfers can order personalized Pro V1 or Pro V1x balls stamped with names, initials, holiday messages or corporate logos. For a tournament, wedding party or family golf trip, nothing says “these are mine” quite like seeing your own name roll into the cup.

Logo Merch from The Sandmines Pro Shop
The Sandmines — Pinehurst Resort’s dramatic, newly developed former mining property and home of Tom Doak’s Pinehurst No. 10 — has quickly developed a cult aesthetic of its own. Its pro shop is stocked with limited-run headwear, hoodies, tees and accessories featuring the rugged shovel-and-pickaxe branding that nods to the land’s history. With small-batch releases and fast sellouts, Sandmines gear has become a must-secure souvenir for golfers who want to look like they’re in the know.

Talamore, Mid South, Mid Pines, Pine Needles & Southern Pines Golf Club Merchandise
Each Sandhills course has its own architecture, history and devoted following — and their pro shops reflect it. Talamore’s llama-themed apparel remains a conversation starter; Mid South’s crossed-pines logo looks sharp on performance layers; and at the legendary Donald Ross sister trio — Mid Pines, Pine Needles and Southern Pines Golf Club — you’ll find timeless caps, blankets, glassware, ornaments and ball markers that feel like heirlooms the moment you unwrap them.

Golf Shop at Pinehurst Resort
Another U.S. Open champion at Pinehurst is celebrated in the Golf Shop at Pinehurst Resort — Payne Stewart and his victory in 1999. The 2024 U.S. Open marked the 25-year anniversary of Stewart’s unforgettable 20-footer to win the title over Phil Mickelson. Pinehurst produced a limited run of headcovers from Swag Golf featuring Stewart’s image and final-round colors — a cream leather collectible honoring one of golf’s most poignant moments.

Golf Artwork from Cassy Tully Fine Art
Now based in North Carolina, Cassy Tully celebrates her 17th year as a full-time artist in 2025. Her large-format paintings highlight iconic golf landscapes, dramatic skies and emotional moments from courses around the world — including Pinehurst. Her commissioned pieces memorialize milestone rounds, family trips and championships, making them deeply personal gifts that last far longer than a round played or a score posted.

Golf Artwork from Jane Hixson Fine Art
A Signature Member of both the Pastel Society of America and the Degas Pastel Society, Pinehurst-based artist Jane E. Hixson has created acclaimed pastel interpretations of all 18 holes of Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 4. Her book, Painting Pinehurst No. 2 — An Artist’s Journey, now in its second printing, is a stunning collectible — and individual course prints, landscapes and Village scenes make unforgettable gifts for those who believe golf courses are works of art.

Golf Artwork from The Old Golf Shop
Bob Hansen and Mike Daniels opened The Old Golf Shop in the Village of Pinehurst in 2014. With nearly a century of combined passion in golf antiques, artwork and collectibles, they offer limited reproductions from Hansen’s personal collection at a fraction of the originals’ cost — from a watercolor of Hoylake’s ninth tee to Old Tom Morris outside his St. Andrews shop. “Nothing beats artwork for the holidays,” Hansen says. “You open that package and see a painting you thought you could never own.”

Clubs from Robert’s Golf Shop
Robert’s Golf Shop is one of the last true throwback golf shops — part museum, part treasure hunt. Specializing in used clubs and consignment, the shop lets customers hold, swing and inspect equipment before buying. On any given day, you’ll find quality sets from Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist and more — along with bins full of drivers, fairway woods and hybrids waiting for their next owner.

Books from Given Tufts Bookshop
Located in Pinehurst’s former post office building, the Given Tufts Bookshop features thousands of donated golf, history, literary and coffee-table books — plus a cozy café called The Roast Office. Shoppers might uncover LeRoy Neiman’s Big Time Golf, Mike Klemme’s Grand Slam Golf, Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book, Dave Pelz’s Short Game Bible, or a treasured P.G. Wodehouse collection. It’s a browser’s paradise for golfers who believe the game is best enjoyed with a good story.

Golf Pride Reverse Taper Putter Grip
Golf Pride — the world’s leading grip manufacturer — opened its Global Innovation Center and Retail Lab near Pinehurst No. 8 in 2022. Their Reverse Taper Putter Grip widens under the lower hand to promote better control, stability and feel through impact. For the golfer in your life who insists they’re “one good putter grip away,” this may finally be the one

Spirits from BHAWK & Southern Pines Brewing Co.
The Sandhills’ craft-spirit renaissance continues. BHAWK American Whiskey’s Sergeant’s Valor Christmas Blend — a two-barrel small-batch release with notes of cinnamon, baking spice and gentle heat — makes a holiday toast feel thoughtful. For beer lovers, Southern Pines Brewing Company’s Duck Hook blonde ale combines malty sweetness with crisp Czech hops — light enough for the 19th hole, flavorful enough for Christmas dinner.
From handcrafted artwork to personalized golf balls and limited-run course merch, these gifts reflect the traditions, personality and playfulness of the Sandhills. Happy holidays — and may every bounce in the new year be a friendly one.
