Remarkable Golf Stays in The Pinehurst Area
Remarkable Golf Stays in The Pinehurst Area
While the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area of North Carolina boasts some of the best golf courses in the country, the variety of living quarters to enjoy during your stay is just as numerous. From major resorts to B&Bs to select service hotels and short-term rentals, there is a wide assortment of lodging choices to enjoy during a stay inside the Home of American Golf.
If you are seeking unique and luxurious golf course lodging options, there are quite a few to choose from, and many are relatively new to the destination.
Dormie Club offers 15 on-site cottages comfortably tucked off fairways on the Sandhills’ only original Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed golf course. The course is ranked by Golfweek as the #10 Best Private Club in North Carolina and is rated #33 in the state by the North Carolina Golf Panel. With a new clubhouse and pro shop opening in the fall of 2021, Dormie Club and its larger Dormie Network offer one of the best private club experiences in the country.
Behind the legendary par 3 14th at Tobacco Road Golf Club, Stewart Cabin is a rustic and historic structure for small groups that wish to enjoy their stay on-site. The two bedroom, two bath cabin features a full kitchen and outdoor grill area which is ideal for the pure golf getaway.
Talamore Resort offers 36 holes of golf on their Rees Jones-designed New Course and the Palmer design Mid South Club. While the resort offers accommodations at both clubs, perhaps its most desirable is the plush and spacious Palmer Cottage. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom cottage is the perfect buddy trip hangout when not on the course.
The next two options are located at private clubs, so we encourage you to contact each to inquire about possible lodging options. The Country Club of North Carolina has several private homes located near the club and within the gates of the community, all expertly appointed and minutes from the Village of Pinehurst and downtown Southern Pines. The club is home of the Dogwood and Cardinal courses, ranked #3 and #16, respectively, but the North Carolina Golf Panel.
Meanwhile, Forest Creek Golf Club maintains a handful of cottages inside the gated community and close to their South and North courses, consistently ranking in the top 50Â in the state of North Carolina.
