Calendar Guidelines:

Tourism-related events in Moore County, as well as select events outside the county (at the discretion of the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area CVB), may be listed for free in the Calendar of Events. Only events deemed by the CVB to be of interest to visitors to Moore County will be included. The CVB reserves the right to determine eligibility for inclusion on HomeofGolf.com, prioritizing events likely to generate overnight lodging stays. The website is not intended to function as a community calendar for events primarily geared toward local residents.

Plotts Tales and Trails: Adventuras Con Carolina

What happens when a Spanish speaking butterfly and an English speaking Plott hound meet? Follow two new friends as they journey across North Carolina exploring nature, history, and each other’s languages- including a stop at Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve!

This free program highlights the new children’s book “Plott’s Tales and Trails: Aventuras Con Carolina” and includes a craft activity to create butterflies ready to migrate south and an outdoor adventure hike with a ranger. Children will be able to take a copy of the book home and meet the illustrator Alexa who helped bring
Carolina and Plott to life! (she’ll sign your book!)

This is a free drop-in program so no registration is required. The program will start inside the park visitor center and include a hike outdoors.
