Dunrovin Country Store is Moore County’s largest and oldest country store, located right on U.S. Hwy 1 in Vass. They carry a wide variety of products such as homemade fudge, Amish food, baked goods, coffee, ice cream, old-fashioned candies, homemade soaps, Wilma’s Snake Oil, organic and natural foods, loose teas, garden décor, year-round Christmas decorations, and much more!

The Little Toy Shop is locally owned and offers a wide range of toys and games to help with all your gift-giving needs.

Bottlebrush is a six-hole par 3 course located on the grounds of Longleaf Golf & Family Club (Host and Home to the US Kids and Teen’s World Championship). One of the first such “short courses” in the region, the holes range from 50 to 100 yards in length (about 450 yards total; see scorecard) and offers a wide variety of well-contoured and picturesque holes to challenge any player, and also be enjoyable and playable for all.

The Bill Bergin designed layout keeps in place a white furlong fence that was once part of the horse track and farm that encompassed the property. The nod to history is part of the charm, but so is the commitment to the future, as you’ll often find families and young players enjoying time together improving their skills, in fun competition, and mostly, just loving taking part in the game.

The North Carolina Zoo is the largest walk-through zoo in the world, with over 250 species of animals. It is located about 45 minutes from Pinehurst, but it is worth the drive!

The Taxidermy Hall of Fame of N.C. Creation Museum is a display of over 200 stuffed animals, antique tools, barbed wire, golf balls, can openers, and a variety of other oddities located in a Christian Bookstore in the heart of the Downtown Southern Pines. Small donation requested.
