Tourism-related events in Moore County, as well as select events outside the county (at the discretion of the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area CVB), may be listed for free in the Calendar of Events. Only events deemed by the CVB to be of interest to visitors to Moore County will be included. The CVB reserves the right to determine eligibility for inclusion on HomeofGolf.com, prioritizing events likely to generate overnight lodging stays. The website is not intended to function as a community calendar for events primarily geared toward local residents.

Beyond the Liberty Tree

Join the Village of Pinehurst as we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary with a special ceremonial planting and dedication in Marshall Park.

The event will feature the planting of a landmark Southern Live Oak and the installation of a commemorative granite marker honoring the ideals of liberty, continuity, and civic responsibility that have shaped our nation for 250 years.

This public ceremony marks a living legacy for future generations — a place for reflection, remembrance, and celebration of our shared American story.

Marshall Park is located at the corner of Shaw Road SE and Azalea Road.
Public parking is available along the Shaw Road SE right-of-way.
