Moore County Farmers Market
October 19 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Moore County Farmers Market was established in 1976 on Pennsylvania Avenue in Southern Pines as an open market. The town of Southern Pines elected to construct a Fire Department at that location in 1999 and the market moved to the Morganton Road Armory Sports Complex in Southern Pines.
The Moore County Farmers Market quickly achieved “producer only” status with vendors coming from within a 50 mile radius.
In 2008, the downtown Southern Pines market was established on Saturdays from 8am-noon. The Saturday market runs from the 3rd Saturday in March through the Saturday before Thanksgiving. During the Summer months you will find local chefs and other community leaders who volunteer their time to prepare and serve complementary samples of food sourced from the market vendors. Live music is scheduled from 10 am till noon on Saturdays (weather permitting) through the end of October.
Moore County Farmers Market has been voted Best Farmers Market in the Pilot’s annual Best of the Pines contest many years running. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming markets in the near future!
