NCA&T Fellowship & Gospel Choir featuring Mary D. Williams celebrating Black History Month. This event is in partnership with our friends at the Southern Pines Land and Housing Trust. Join us for an afternoon of storytelling and gospel performed by the legendary NCA&T Gospel Choir with special guest Mary D. Williams. The award winning sixty member Fellowship Gospel choir was founded in 1969 with a mission to promote and stimulate the love of gospel music through a socio-religious organization. Special guest Mary D Williams is a gospel singer, historian, and educator who was Born and raised in Garner, N.C., she weaves together African American spirituals from the Civil War era with more modern anthems of the Civil Rights Movement, connecting generations of music and social change. She has just completed a book about Mahalia Jackson with fellow writer, Tim Tyson.

To accommodate the size of this event, it will take place at Southern Pines Land and Housing Trust Auditorium, 1250 West New York Ave., Southern Pines.
