Sandhills Scavenger Hunts

Sandhills Scavenger Hunts offer a unique, fun, and free opportunity to tour and learn about Moore County at your leisure. These hunts will take you to unique places and you may need to use a search engine, our website, and detective skills to complete all the tasks. More hunts will be added soon.

Prizes will be awarded to those who finish each Scavenger Hunt.

How to Access the Scavenger Hunts:

  1. Download Scavify, a free app found in the Apple App Store, Android Store, Google Play Store: https://www.scavify.com/download
  2. Create a Username and Password
  3. Click on the magnifying glass in the top right hand corner
  4. Where it says Search for a Hunt, type in one of the hunts below (or click on one of the links below)

Aberdeen NC Scavenger Hunt

Stroll around downtown Aberdeen; learn some history, find some clues and have some fun!

  • This hunt should take about one hour.
  • This scavenger hunt is appropriate for all ages.
Cameron Scavenger Hunt

Take a ride and enjoy the wonders of Cameron, NC; learn some history, find some clues and have some fun! This hunt will take you from the antique downtown to the surrounding farm lands. Don’t forget to stop into James Creek Cider House.

  • This hunt should take about one hour.
  • This scavenger hunt is appropriate for all ages.
Explore Moore

Explore Moore is a general hunt of some of Moore County.

Prizes will be awarded to those who complete the hunt. This hunt can be done in teams or individual.

On Scavify, search for: Explore Moore

  • This hunt should take 2-3 hours; depending on traffic, it is less than a 50 mile journey roundtrip highlighting some of our large towns
  • This scavenger hunt is appropriate for all ages.
Moore County History Hunt
