Pinewild Country Club – Holly Course

Pinewild Country Club – Holly Course

If the Magnolia is Pinewild’s stalwart son, The Holly is its impish twin brother. A special signature design by golf’s legendary world traveler, Gary Player, The Holly features smaller green surfaces, less bunkering, and numerous water features that are an integral element of the design. Vast areas of longleaf pines were left untouched, and the course features a more natural setting and rustic feel.

The Holly Course offers a different but equally captivating experience. Known for its traditional layout and classic design elements, the Holly Course winds through stands of towering pine trees and pristine natural areas. Players must navigate carefully placed hazards and contoured greens, requiring strategic course management and precise shot execution. The course’s beauty is enhanced by the presence of majestic holly trees, which add to its aesthetic appeal and challenge.

While it’s a shorter course than Magnolia at 6,923 yards, The Holly is a shot-makers course to be certain. From the very first tee, Player challenges golfers with risk/reward shots and has used every possible feature in the existing landscape to make this course memorable. A number of forced-carry shots require golfers to play smart or the course can get away from you. Playing from the white tees can be enjoyable – while the back tees present a whole different game.

Few bunkers, more water and smaller greens — this Player signature design cannot be missed.
